EHSAN ISSUES A STUDY TITLED "MEASURING AND EVALUATING THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION WITH SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE ELDERLY"
Elderly Empowerment and Care Centre, Ehsan, issued a study titled “Measuring and evaluating the level of satisfaction with the services provided to the elderly during the year 2021, from the point of view of the beneficiary group.” The services include empowerment, support, guidance and awareness programs. These programs are one of the means used to satisfy the needs of the target group, and to achieve the principle of cooperation and solidarity within the community. Maryam Al-Ansari, Director of the Planning and Development Office and head of the study’s publication team, explained that if we want to define the programs used to satisfy the needs of the target group, we say: “These are the positive efforts that are undertaken by one or more people for the purpose of contributing to the growth and protection of society without any compensation.” But if we want to define it from the social side, we can say: “They are those programs and social activities that aim to satisfy the needs of the individual in a way that achieves proper growth for him, according to his capabilities and abilities, and in a way that fulfills the needs of the society to which he belongs.” She also highlighted the importance of the programs offered by "Ehsan" center, as they are development programs aimed at preparing elderly individuals to exercise their voluntary role in their social environment to reduce social, health, psychological and legal problems to which they may be exposed, train them on how to prevent such problems, enhance their scientific culture, and develop their self-learning skills which is part of Ehsan's efforts in educating the community. She said that these programs serve the humanitarian issues of the elderly and highlight them to achieve a positive and purposeful effect in society. She concluded by saying that the study to measure the satisfaction of the beneficiary group with the level of services is one of the most important evaluation and follow-up mechanisms, and it is an essential step for analyzing the strengths and weaknesses in performance, setting up development scenarios, and constantly developing work practices.
