The Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), one of the centers working under the umbrella of Qatar Social Work Foundation, celebrated Eid with day care members, through the event (Your joy is our Eid), which included many activities and competitions. The center celebrates Eid in order to fulfill its strategy to provide the necessary empowerment and care programs for the elderly by reviving local and international occasions, including the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, by holding an event for the elderly, including competitions and recreational activities for them. This event is a means of breaking the routine, communicating with the elderly and bringing joy and pleasure to their hearts, in addition to the importance of participating in these activities with the aim of stimulating memory and stimulating brain cells through games and competitions. On the sidelines of the Eid event, a promotional tour was announced by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, which started from Ehsan Center as the first institution to receive the world cup trophy, 200 days ahead of the start of the World Cup, where the elderly had a chance to see the trophy and take photos for it. For his part, Mr. Jaber Al-Marri, Director of the Communication and Media at Ehsan, expressed the appreciation of the Center and the elderly for this gesture, adding that the happiness of male elders at Ehsan with this event is indescribable, as they felt that they were part of the event and that they were an important group contributing to the success of this World Cup. He said that the joy of the elderly on that day was for Eid Al-Fitr and the occasion of hosting the World Cup Trophy at the Ehsan Center. Father Saeed Al-Kuwari, one of the parents participating in the event, expressed his great joy saying: “I thank Ehsan Center for inviting us to participate in receiving the World Cup trophy and offering us the opportunity to see it”. He expressed his happiness because he and his elderly brothers will have the opportunity to attend this global event, adding that hosting the world cup is a gift from the State of Qatar to its people and all Arab countries and that it is an achievement that every Qatari and every Arab is proud of. Al-Kuwari stressed that the gathering of the elderly to see the trophy indicates their great desire to participate and contribute to the success of this global event.
