The Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), one of the centers working under the umbrella of Qatar Social Work Foundation, announced the details of its various awareness programs and activities for the holy month of Ramadan. The center stated that it finished preparing all the activities of the Ramadan program “With Righteousness, We Take Care of You” in its eighth edition, which includes religious aspects, competitions, valuable prizes, a talk show, and awareness publications, that will be publicized through the center’s social media accounts. The center explained that Ramadan programs aim to raise community awareness of the rights of the elderly. The state is interested in providing all means and reasons that intensify the process of educating society about the rights and basic needs of the elderly and the optimal treatment for them, in order to raise awareness of the problems and challenges they face and to spread the services provided to them, as well as to mobilize support for the most important issues related to elderly, highlight their development and social role, and to emphasize the importance of this group, whose arms built the foundations of the ancient past, which paved the way for current development for the new generations.. The center will launch the activities of Ramadan competition, starting next Wednesday, on a weekly basis, by submitting 3 questions around the theme of Ramadan. The “Thoughts” program will be presented by Sheikh Youssef Asher throughout the days of the holy month on social media. The Ramadan Thoughts program includes videos titled “Their Creations” that highlights the creativity of mothers in handicrafts. It also includes a part titled “Memory of Qatari Poetry” presented by the Qatari poet and researcher Ali Al-Fayyad. On the other hand, Ehsan will organize a program titled "Qatari Treasures", during the holy month. The program is a talk show that hosts several intellectuals and knowledgeable speakers to talk about their experiences and highlight their achievements and the successes they achieved during their careers.
