EHSAN SIGNS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LAWYER FATMA AL-SAEEDI

The Center for Elderly Empowerment and Care (Ehsan ) signed a memorandum of understanding with Fatma Al-Saeedi Law Firm. The signing took place at the administrative headquarters of Ehsan Center in the C-Ring road. The signing of this memorandum stems from the main role of the Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care to enhance recognition of the role of the elderly and their contributions to social, economic and cultural development, empowering them and supporting their active participation in all fields, raising community awareness of their basic rights and issues, working to achieve intergenerational communication, and emphasizing the role of the family in the care of elderly to limit sheltering. The agreement is also motivated by both parties' understanding of the importance of supporting the bonds of cooperation between the two sides and their efforts toward achieving their common goal of supporting the beneficiary groups and providing them with appropriate care in the best possible way, and to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the two parties. The two parties agreed on coordination and joint cooperation in the field of organizing seminars, giving lectures and organizing workshops targeting the elderly and the community concerned, and implementing joint programs in the field of community service awareness. The agreement also includes contributing to the spread of legal information and the development of appropriate mechanisms for the implementation of the proposed programs between the two parties, as well as providing free legal advice to all problems facing the elderly who are over sixty years old, by allocating certain hours at the headquarters of the Ehsan Center for legal consultations, in addition to taking full care of a number of cases that concern the elderly annually. The cases will be selected by Ehsan Center. On this memorandum, Mr. Khaled Abdullah, Acting Executive Director of the Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), stated that the center is keen to create partnerships and strengthen cooperation with all parties in the country because of its strong belief that these partnerships and cooperation benefit its target groups and in turn expands the scope of its services. He added that this memorandum, which was signed with the office of lawyer Fatima Al-Saeedi, is a continuation of previous cooperation and partnerships that resulted in the creation of community initiatives, and the desire of the center to benefit from the consultations that will be provided to the elderly and to answer all their legal queries. The Acting Executive Director of Ehsan Center expressed his sincere thanks to the lawyer Fatima Al-Saeedi for her initiative to support the center and cooperate with it in a way that serves the elderly category. For her part, lawyer Fatima Al-Saeedi stated that the idea of cooperation with the center is motivated by the vision of her law firm, which focuses on serving all segments of society and providing assistance, and legal advice to them, especially to the elderly. The agreement includes preparing awareness workshops, as well as sponsoring a number of cases for those over 60 years old free of charge, in addition to providing free consultations. Al-Saeedi extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to Ehsan center for this fruitful cooperation.
